ABS WELCOMES THORBURN AS ABS CORNERSTONE SPECIALIST- DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - June 15,2009 - ABS Global has named Kirsten Thorburn an ABS Cornerstone Specialist for the West Coast. "Kirsten's previous internship experience with ABS and her dairy industry knowledge make here a stan-ut canididate fo rthis positio," stated Todd Kronberg, Director of North American ProductDevelopement. "She will be a great addition to the ABS Cornerstone® Progeny Test Team." Thorburn recently graduated from the University of California-Davis with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Sciences and Business Management. On campus, she was active in the Aggie Pack Student Boosters, the UC-Davis Beef Cattle Show and the UC-Davis Young Cattlemeen's Association. Last summer, Thorburn completed an internship with ABS where she assisted with daughter evaluations and photoing with the ABS Cornerstone team and heat detection, breeding and customer database management with ABS Representatives in Northern California. As an ABS Cornerstone Specialist, Thorburn will be responsible for the developing and identifying potentail new ABS Cornerstone herds while maintaing a relationship with the current herds on the West Coast. She will also monitor, evaluate and maintain progeny test herd data output.
