SMITH NAMED PROGENY PROMOTIONS INTERN


- DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - June 9,2009 - ABS Global has named Elizabeth Smith a Progeny Promotions Intern for the 2009 summer.

"Elizabeth's strong background in dairy cattle preparation will make her a great asset to the Progeny Promotions Team," stated Josey Morris, U.S. Progeny Promotions Supervisor. "Her dedicated work ethic along with her judging skill will help her excel during her internship."

Smith is currently a junior at the Pennsylvania State University majoring in Animal Sciences with a minor in Agricultural Business. On Campus, she is active in the Dairy Science Club, Ag Student Council and is a member of the dairy juding team. Smith competed in the 2008 National Intercollegiate Dairy Juding Contest held at World Dairy Expo and was high individual overall.

Most recently, Smith has been working on campus in the Deparment of Dairy and Animal Science as a research assistant. She also assists on her family's 130-cow Registered Holstein farm--Smith-Manor Holsteins.

As the Progeny Promotions Intern, Smith will be responsible for tracking and preparing ABS Global progeny for picturing opportunities. She will also work with daughter tours.
