SCHILLER NAMED ABS RESEARCH INTERN- DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - June 9,2009 - ABS Global has named Charlie Schiller the Research Intern for the 2009 summer. "We are excited to have Charlie join the ABS Research Team for the summer" stated Angela Storch, Research Specialist. "Charlie's previous experience with ABS as a Sales and Service Intern and extensive industry knowledge will be a great fit in the Research Team and provide him with diverse experiences within ABS." As the Research Intern, Schiller will be responsible for working with the ABS field trial program including trial unit production and summarizing and reporting field trial results. He will gain experience and knowledge in genomics, ABS' Genetic Management System® (GMS®) mating program, the ABS Cornerstone® Progeny Test program and Progeny Promotions. In addition, Charlie will assist the Research Team with its diverse project portfolio as ABS continues to expand the company's investment in research for customer success. Schiller will be a senior this fall at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where he is an active member of the Gopher Dairy Club, Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity and works at the University of Minnesota Meat Laboratory. Schiller also assists on his home farm, Schillview Holsteins, managing the breeding program and ration for the 100 cows and 175 youngstock on the operation.
