JOHNSON NAMED PROGENY PROMOTIONS INTERN- DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - June 9,2009 - ABS Global has named Londa Johnson a Progeny Promotions Intern for the 2009 summer. "Londa will be a great addition to the Progeny Promotions team", stated U.S. Progeny Promotions Supervisor, Josey Morris. "Her enthusiasm, dairy industry knowledge and excellent cattle evaluation skills make her a stand-out candidate for this internship" Johnson is currently a junior at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls majoring in Dairy Science with a minor in Professional and Organizational Communications. She maintains high academics as she is a Dean's List student. On Campus, Johnson is active in the Dairy Club, Sigma Alpha Sorority and is a member of the dairy judging team. Johnson received 1st place individual in oral reasons and 2nd in high individual overall honors at the 2008 North American International Livestock Exposition Collegiate Dairy Judging contest. Last summer, Johnson worked as the Communications and Industry Relations Intern for the Midwest Dairy Association. In this position, Johnson promoted the dairy industry to the public through writing press releases, organizing promotional events and assisting with the Princess Kay of the Milky Way finalist activities. As the Progeny Promotions Intern, Johnson will be responsible for tracking and preparing ABS Global progeny for picturing opportunities. She will also work with daughter tours.
