ABS DEKORRA HOSTS CELEBRATION BREAKFASTS

DEFOREST, WISCONSIN – October 27, 2008 – In celebration of the completion of the second new barn in two years, ABS Global hosted two breakfasts prior to populating its new collection barn in Dekorra, Wisc.

The first breakfast, held October 3 during World Dairy Expo served nearly 400 ABS Distributors, Affiliates and customers from around the world in its 72’ x72’ collection ring. Guests had the opportunity to tour the new bull facility, laboratory and veterinarian rooms.

Saturday October 11, ABS Employees cooked for and served 1,200 family members,
neighbors, builders and local business people. Those in attendance enjoyed the music of the Soggy Prairie Boys Band, face painting, a performance by the Thunder Prairie Cloggers and a cooking demonstration by the Wisconsin Beef Council. They also had the opportunity to take a drive through tour of the populated bull rearing barn completed in 2007.

The new collection facility will be European Union health qualified ensuring ABS will be able to ship semen from this facility globally. ABS Global is actively expanding its bull program, and intends to produce 5 million units per year in this new barn.

ABS Dekorra includes 240 acres located 15 miles north of headquarters in DeForest. Construction of the next rearing building is scheduled to begin July 2009. ABS plans to have three rearing barns total, housing nearly 300 bulls in addition to the new collection facility barn which will house 60 bulls.
