ABS HOSTS SILENT AUCTION IN SUPPORT OF RELAY FOR LIFEDEFOREST, WISCONSIN – June 30, 2008 - ABS Global employees recently hosted a silent auction to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life held June 13-14, 2008 in DeForest, Wisc. “We continue to be amazed by the generosity of our employees here at ABS Global, all of whom demonstrate a strong commitment to finding a cure for cancer,” stated one of the event organizers, Cheryl Ashworth, ABS Credit Administrator. Event organizers, the ABS Bullievers, would like to send their many thanks to those who solicited donations to be sold in the auction. Those include Amy Christians, Catie Lewis, Alice Langer, Char Reed-Passineau, Susie Latzig, Alan Carlon, Barb Junge, Margaret Hoffmann, Betty Denman, Vicki Lundeen, PIC Genomics and Cheryl Ashworth. Organizers would also like to thank everyone who donated or purchased items from the auction. The auction helped raise $2,327.75 for the DeForest Relay for Life. This total exceeds last year’s funding by $445. In addition to the silent auction, the ABS Bullievers also held numerous other fundraisers including a fall bazaar, luncheons, bake sales and the ever-popular liquid nitrogen ice cream sale. The recipe for this famous ice cream is also featured in the new ABS cookbook, which was another fundraiser for the ABS Bullievers. Through all of the fundraising, the ABS Bullievers were able to donate $9,436.63 to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
