ABS HAS SUCCESSFUL CLASSIFICATIONDEFOREST, WISCONSIN – February 29, 2008 – ABS Global recently classified their Holstein bulls and posted outstanding results with nine new Excellent sires and a first score of EX-93 for new graduate 29HO11509 Autumn-Ridge MATSON-ET. “The group of bulls scored included recent graduates and prospects and yielded an exciting crop of high-scoring, young bulls,” stated Scott Bentley, Global Dairy Product Manager. “We extend a sincere thank you to the ABS Barn and Production Teams for their efforts in keeping our bulls in outstanding physical working condition.” Receiving his first classification score, MATSON earned a score of EX-93. He is an outstanding Durham son backed by five generations of Excellent dams. MATSON combines elite type with outstanding composites and continues to be an exciting new graduate. 29HO10644 Penn-England GARRISON gained two points to receive his first Excellent classification score of EX-90. GARRISON has global appeal providing high components, excellent feet and legs and is an ABS Pregnancy King. Seven other sires scored Excellent for the first time. Scoring EX-90 was Judge’s Choice sire 94HO13531 Arethusa MONTGOMERY-ET. MONTGOMERY is a DUNDEE son from Hillcroft Leader Melanie EX-96. New graduate and high type sire 29HO11655 Palmcrest BREAKOUT-ET also earned a classification score of EX-90. Additional sires scoring Excellent for the first time include prospects 29HO11718 Mainstream MACHO-ET EX-90 (Morty x Durham), 29HO11676 Halo DESIGNER-ET EX-91 (Magna x Manfred), 29HO11609 Coldsprings HATLEY-ET EX-90 (Outside x Mtoto), 29HO11690 L-Ridge-View PARADISE-ET EX-90 (Morty x Durham) and Morningview PASADENA-ET EX-90 (Diamond x Rudolph). Ten other sires garnered Very Good scores on their first classification. Others maintaining or improving their Excellent classification scores included 29HO11153 Bomaz HOMESTEAD-ET EX-91, 29HO10799 Shadycrest-H MEGATON-ET EX-91 and 29HO0856 April-Day WISONSIN-RED EX-90.
