PYLMAN NAMED GMS® EVALUATORDEFOREST, WISCONSIN – February 8, 2008 – ABS Global has named Johnny Pylman a Genetic Management System® (GMS) Evaluator for Kern County in Southern California and Arizona. “Johnny brings an extensive background in dairy to this position,” stated Rick Adams, Area Sales Manager. “His enthusiasm and passion for the A.I. industry along with his dairy cattle evaluation skills will help him excel as an ABS GMS Evaluator.” Pylman was raised on his family’s Registered Holstein farm located in Artesia, California. After attending Mount San Antonio College and California Polytechnic State University, he owned and operated his own dairy farm until the mid 1990’s. Since then, he has been active in hay purchasing and sales in Tulare, Kern and King Counties. He remains active in the dairy industry through his leadership positions including serving as a Kern County Fair Committee Member and 4-H advisor. As a GMS Evaluator, Pylman will be responsible for maintaining a relationship with GMS herds in his area along with visiting prospective herds. He will evaluate cows and input information into the ABS handheld device and assist with determining herd goals and sire selection.
