ABS TOURS HIGHLIGHT SUCCESSFUL PROGRAMS AND OUTSTANDING PROGENYDEFOREST, WISCONSIN – November 29, 2007 – ABS Global held several tours showcasing the outstanding progeny and valuable programs available at ABS in conjunction with World Dairy Expo, held in Madison, Wisconsin. "The 2007 World Dairy Expo tours were a great success and showcased numerous outstanding daughters including second lactation BOLTON daughters and recently fresh, milking SHOTTLE daughters," stated Josey Morris, United States Progeny Promotions Supervisor. "We are thankful to the producers who allowed us to view progeny at their dairies." Amy Knuth, ABS Global GMS Manager added, “In addition to viewing ABS-sired daughters and bull mothers, this tour gives participants the opportunity to witness the outstanding results and success of the ABS GMS® program on a diverse group of farms with different management styles.” A total of 253 participants from around the globe, including individuals from Australia, Greece, Ireland, Bulgaria, Germany, Argentina, Italy, Poland, United Kingdom, Canada and the United States took part in the 2007 ABS Tours. Tours taking place during the week included Genetic Management System (GMS®), Technical Services, the Type Matters™ Walking Tour and additional progeny tours. The tour group viewed daughters of ABS Global leading sires including 29HO11111 BOLTON, 29HO10124 BOLIVER and 29HO12209 SHOTTLE. In addition, the tour also showcased progeny of future ABS leaders including 29HO11355 LANGDON and 29HO11359 JUNIPER. Along with viewing daughters, participants were able to visit ABS Dekorra, the new ABS Rearing Facility currently under construction near Poynette, Wisc. There, participants were able to tour the new facility and view story boards depicting future plans for the site.
