ABS TECHNICAL SERVICES CONFERENCE HELD

DEFOREST, WISCONSIN – November 13, 2007 – Sales, education, training, and promotion were the focus for the ABS Technical Service Team for four days in Washington State in July. ABS Division and District Sales Managers, Product Managers, PIC Technical Managers and the ABS Technical Service Team worked together to brainstorm the differentiation of ABS services globally.

Meetings focused on how Technical Services has grown its current resources, fueled by the changing needs of our key customers. “Our approach to Technical Services is very customer focused and is dependent on matching the correct resources with the on-farm needs to improve performance and retain customers long-term,” stated Dr. Neil Michael, Director of ABS Technical Services.

In addition, the Technical Service Team traveled to Sunnyside, Washington where Dr. Cliff Lamb of the University of Minnesota and Dr. Joe Dalton of University Idaho presented the latest research from recent professional meetings and discussed possible implications or opportunities for ABS Global. The discussion also included the creation of opportunities for ABS Sexation™, the ABS sex-sorted semen brand.

During the conference, the Technical Service Team participated in a video taping exercise on RMS Training Center dairies to help develop consistent training tools for Global Technical Services members and field staff around the world. Several producer and veterinarian testimonials were also captured on film to aid in promotion of RMS.
