LIGHT NAMED AREA REPRODUCTIVE MANAGERDEFOREST, WISCONSIN – October 24, 2007 – ABS Global has named Abraham Light an Area Reproductive Manager in Champlain Valley, Vermont. “Abe’s strong knowledge and experience in reproductive management make him a valuable asset to our team,” stated Bill Flick, District Sales Manager. “His background, along with his great enthusiasm and work ethic, will allow Abe to be very successful in his new position.” Light completed the Dairy Production and Management Program at the State University of New York (SUNY) Cobleskill in 2000. Since then, he has held several herdsman and management positions at farms located in Vermont and Connecticut. Most recently, Light has been employed at Hinsdale Farms as the farm manager. His responsibilities included supervising the milking of 250 cows utilizing four robotic milking units, operating and maintaining a methane digester and working with the veterinarian, nutritionist and breeder to optimize efficiency and productivity on the farm. In the past eleven months, Light has achieved several successful improvements in reproduction, labor efficiency and milk production at Hinsdale Farms. Previously, Light has also worked at Perry Brook Dairy as a co-herdsman and Arethusa Farm, LLC as a herdsman and fitter. In his position as an Area Reproductive Manager, Light will work with Reproductive Program Technicians in his area to aid in growth and development of the Reproductive Management System® (RMS®) program.
