SCHENK NAMED RESEARCH SCIENTIST AT ABS GLOBALDEFOREST, WISCONSIN – October 22, 2007 – ABS Global is pleased to announce John Schenk has been named as a Research Scientist. “John’s expertise in all aspects of producing a high quality semen product along with his previous experience with ABS make him a great addition,” stated Marj Faust, ABS Global Research Scientist. “We are excited to have him as a part of the ABS Research team.” Schenk hails from northeastern Colorado where he owns and operates a beef cattle and small grains farm. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Agricultural Science as well as a Master’s Degree in Reproductive Physiology from Colorado State University. Schenk has spent his career in animal reproduction holding several positions within the industry. Most recently, Schenk spent ten years with a sperm sorting company, XY, Inc., as its Center for Research Manager. There, he was responsible for implementing new sperm sorting research and technology. He also provided technical support and informational seminars to potential end-users. Schenk also previously worked at ABS for eight years as a Reproductive Physiologist. As a research scientist, Schenk’s responsibilities will include working to continually improve the high quality ABS product, and as part of the ABS Research Team investigating other technologies for developing ABS differentiated and value-added products for our beef and dairy customers worldwide.
