ABS GLOBAL SET TO BEGIN CONSTRUCTION OF NEW FACILITY…
ABS GLOBAL DEKORRA

DEFOREST,
WISCONSIN – August 3, 2007 – ABS is pleased to announce
the purchase of 240-acres located 15 miles north of ABS Global headquarters
facility in DeForest, Wisc. The farm, referred to as ABS Dekorra,
closed on Monday, July 16.
"As
ABS continues to increase the number of sires in the ABS Cornerstone® Progeny
Test Program, we have the need to grow our housing capabilities," stated
Scott Bentley, ABS Global Dairy Product Manager. "Through the
acquisition of this land and the construction of new barns, ABS will
continue to lead the industry in producing a large and diverse product
offering to dairy producers around the world.”
Roger
Breunig, ABS Global Livestock and Facility Manager added, “These
new facilities will provide our sires with top-of-the line housing
and ensure producers a quality product, produced in a biosecure,
safe environment.”
The
property will undergo renovations with new construction beginning
in August. ABS Dekorra will be used for housing young sires. Over
the next four years, four barns will be built to house a total of
350 dairy and beef sires.
