ABS WELCOMES YEISER AS ABS CORNERSTONE SPECIALIST
DEFOREST, WISCONSIN – June 26, 2007 – ABS Global has named Emily Yeiser an ABS Cornerstone Specialist. "Emily has a sincere passion and wealth of knowledge in the dairy industry," stated David Dunlop, ABS Cornerstone Program Manager. "Her strong background along with her prior ABS experience makes her an asset to the ABS Cornerstone Progeny Test Team." Yeiser recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pennsylvania State University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Dairy Science and a minor in Agribusiness Management. On campus, she was an active member of numerous clubs including the Penn State Dairy Club and Alpha Zeta Fraternity. As a member of the Dairy Judging Team, Yeiser had a very successful judging career including being named the high individual in reasons at both the All-American and North American Livestock Exposition Judging Contest. Last spring, Yeiser took an opportunity to learn about the international dairy industry as she traveled to Australia to work on a Holstein farm. Her responsibilities on the farm included calf care, milking, and assisting with reproductive decisions. Yeiser also has previous experience with ABS as she completed the 2005 Communications Internship and has helped prepare animals for photos in an independent contractor role. In her new position, Yeiser will be responsible for developing and identifying potential new ABS Cornerstone herds while maintaining a relationship with current herds in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Kentucky, North and South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. She will also work with these herds and field staff to accurately identify efficient use of ABS Cornerstone semen. In addition to the ABS Cornerstone Progeny Test responsibilities, Yeiser will focus a portion of her time developing a working knowledge of the ABS Sire Acquisition Program and assisting with ABS Sire Acquisition in the Southern region of her area.
