KETCHUM NAMED DAIRY PROGRAM SPECIALISTDEFOREST, WISCONSIN - February 16, 2007 – ABS Global has named Mike Ketchum a Dairy Program Specialist. “Mike’s knowledge and experience in the A.I. industry make him a valuable asset to ABS and the dairy producers in his area,” stated Todd Kronberg, Upper Midwest Divisional Manager. Ketchum graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF) earning a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. On campus, he was actively involved in the UWRF Dairy Club and was a member of the dairy judging team traveling to both the World Dairy Expo and North American Livestock Exposition (NAILE) contest. Ketchum also served as an official judge for the 2003 Accelerated Genetics Intercollegiate Judging Contest and currently coaches his local county 4-H dairy judging team. Ketchum has previously worked with ABS as a relief A.I. Technician in Southeast Minnesota and Southwest Wisconsin. Most recently, he worked for another A.I company mating cows and managed a direct sales area in Southeast Minnesota. He also currently assists with sire selection, herd health, show cattle preparation and milking on his home farm, Ketchum Farms. As a Dairy Program Specialist, Ketchum will be responsible for assisting ABS Representatives and Area Sales Managers with developing and identifying potential new ABS Cornerstone® and Genetic Management Systems® (GMS®) herds.
