STONE NAMED RMS® INTERNDEFOREST, WISCONSIN - January 15, 2007- ABS has named Jason Stone a Reproductive Management System® (RMS®) Intern in the Eastern United States for the 2007 summer. “Jason’s tremendous experience and strong knowledge of the dairy industry will allow him to be very successful in this internship position,” stated Bryan Horn, District Sales Manager. Stone graduated from the University of New York-Cobleskill in December 2006 earning an Associate’s Degree in Dairy Production and Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Business Management. On campus, Stone was active in the Cobleskill Dairy Cattle Club serving as the 2006 Dairy Fashion Sale Chairman and was a member of the Dairy Judging Team. Stone has acquired both practical on-farm knowledge and showing and fitting skills through his work experience. As a weekend herdsman and full-time fitter at Currie Valley Dairy, Stone was responsible for assisting in herd health, herd reproduction and the care and management of show animals. Stone has also worked for Elm-Park Farms fitting show cattle for World Dairy Expo. As an RMS Intern, Stone’s responsibilities will include providing heat detection and insemination service to herds participating in ABS’ RMS®. He will also be exposed to other aspects of the business including reproductive performance, monitoring, mating and product sales. Stone will be working in Addison and Franklin County in Vermont.
