UMPHREY NAMED UDDERCARE PRODUCT MANAGERDEFOREST, WISCONSIN - November 8, 2006 – ABS Global is pleased to announce James Umphrey has joined the Technical Service Team filling the role of Uddercare Product Manager. “James’ extensive background and enthusiasm for the dairy industry will allow him to be very successful in his position of Uddercare Product Manager,” stated Dr. Neil Michael, Director of ABS Global Technical Services. Umphrey comes to ABS with a vast range of experience in the dairy industry. He spent 17 years as a Dairy Youth Specialist at the University of Florida where he taught dairy management courses and worked with dairy producers on feed management, reproductive systems and labor management issues. Most recently, he served as a Director of Training and Business Development for another A.I. company. Umphrey obtained both his Bachelor’s of Science in Animal and Dairy Science and Master’s Degree in Dairy Nutrition from Auburn University. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. in Management and Administration at the University of Florida. As Uddercare Product Manager, Umphrey will be responsible for providing point of sale support in the Eastern and Midwest United States along with coordinating and implementing sales of uddercare products through in-person field visits, technical support and training workshops for local managers and Representatives.
