ABS PROGENY AND BULL MOTHERS EXCEL AS THEY JUMP ON BOARD THE WORLD DAIRY EXPO TRAIN!


DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - October 17, 2006 - As the dust settles following the dairy cattle shows at the World Dairy Expo, October 3-7, 2006, in Madison, Wisconsin, many ABS progeny and bull mothers stood out among the rest!

“These outstanding show results from the 2006 World Dairy Expo are evidence that ABS and St. Jacobs ABC are home to some of today’s most exciting high type bulls in the industry and have the sire line-up to produce the show winners of tomorrow,” said Tim Abbott, St. Jacobs ABC Manager. For the third consecutive year, the dam of ABS/St. Jacobs ABC sire, 94JE3437 VINDICATION, Huronia Centurion Veronica 20J E-95% from Arethusa Farm in Litchfield, Conn. was named Grand Champion of the Central National Jersey Show. Veronica also went on to be named Supreme Champion of the 2006 World Dairy Expo later on in the week, adding to her Supreme Champion win at the All-American Dairy Show earlier this fall in Harrisburg, Penn.! The exciting Whistler son from Veronica, VINDICATION is following in his mother’s footsteps as two of his daughters earned top ten placings at this year’s Central National Jersey Show.

94HO10156 Markwell KITE*RC progeny also shone at the 2006 World Dairy Expo, competing well in both the Red & White and Black & White classes. Along with other exciting results from the International Red & White Holstein Show, KITE sired none other than Yursden Kite Caramac-Red EX-92, who was named 1st Four-Year-Old and Grand Champion for owner Richard Green Sr. of Middleton, Del.! KITE also reached outstanding heights in the International Holstein Show, siring the 1st Summer Yearling and Reserve Junior Champion, Crescentmead Summer Breeze, owned by Crescentmead, Hetts, Shore and Lintvedt, Ixonia, Wisc.

ABS One Million Unit Sire, 29HO9023 ROYlane Jordan also turned many heads at this year’s World Dairy Expo siring many top placing animals. The most notable of these animals was a returning ROY daughter from last year, MD-Maple-Dell Roy Image EX-92. This ROY daughter owned by Jeff Butler, Ludwig Farms and Mark Butz of Chebanse, Ill. was the 2nd Jr. Three-Year-Old and Reserve Intermediate Champion of the International Holstein Show.
