CROUTHAMEL AND JONES NAMED AREA BEEF MANAGERSDEFOREST, WISCONSIN - September 13, 2006 - ABS has named Cory Crouthamel and Joe Jones Area Beef Managers. “ABS has experienced robust growth in business in the West, with ever-increasing demand for complete turn-key synchronization and A.I. services. As we continue to expand our customer base and our corps of Professional Beef Representatives, we are very pleased to have Cory and Joe on the ABS team,” stated Darrell Wilkes, U.S. Beef Supply Systems Manager. “Both men are highly skilled and experienced in synchronization, A.I. and genetic consulting.” Crouthamel will be responsible for managing the area of Oregon, Washington and the Northern panhandle of Idaho. He is a 2002 graduate of Washington State University, where he was very active on campus as a member of the livestock judging team. Prior to joining ABS as an employee, Cory was an Independent ABS Representative and a marketing and breeding consultant for a number of commercial and purebred operations in the Northwest. Jones will manage the remainder of Idaho and all of Nevada and Utah. No stranger to the A.I. industry, Jones has been involved in A.I. for the past ten years, first as a semen sales representative and, more recently, as an area sales manager. Joe was raised in the commercial ranching business in Nevada and Idaho. He is a graduate of the Idaho State University Farm Business Management program. As Area Beef Managers, Crouthamel and Jones will be responsible for supporting beef producers and Representatives on semen sales, sire selection and reproductive services. In addition, both men will provide services as part of ABS’ Beef Supply Chain program, a new venture designed to enhance the marketing options for producers of high quality feeder cattle. Cattle suppliers approved under this program have more options for marketing their calves to feedlots that require age and source verification for foreign markets and various domestic branded beef programs.
