ABS WELCOMES PAPOI AS ABS CORNERSTONE SPECIALIST
DEFOREST, WISCONSIN – July 26, 2006 – ABS Global has named Gabriel Papoi, Area Sales Manager, an ABS Cornerstone Specialist. "Gabe possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in the dairy industry," stated Marci Walker, ABS Global Progeny Development Manager. "He will be a great addition to the ABS Cornerstone Progeny Test Team." Papoi is currently attending Michigan State University part-time pursuing a degree in Agribusiness Management. He has already earned an Associate’s Degree in Dairy Management from Michigan State University. Papoi has been a member of both the dairy challenge and dairy judging teams in addition to being active in the FarmHouse Fraternity and Michigan State Dairy Club. Papoi grew up on his family’s dairy farm, Langfield Holsteins, located in Charlotte, Mich. As the assistant herdsman on the farm, his responsibilities included herd health and sire selection for the 100-cow dairy. Papoi has worked in two different positions at ABS, namely, RMS Intern (2003) and Area Reproductive Manager (2004-2005). As an ABS Cornerstone Specialist, Papoi will be responsible for developing and identifying potential new ABS Cornerstone herds while maintaining a relationship with current participating herds in the Ohio, Indiana and Michigan area. He will also monitor, evaluate and maintain progeny test herd data output.
