PETERSON ANNOUNCED AS SALES AND SERVICE INTERN
DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - June 14, 2006 - ABS has named Charles Peterson an Upper Midwest Sales and Service Intern for the 2006 summer. “Charles' strong dairy background and enthusiasm toward the industry will prove to be extremely beneficial to ABS Global throughout the summer,” stated Todd Kronberg, ABS Upper Midwest Divisional Manager. Peterson will be a senior this fall at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities majoring in Animal Science with an emphasis in dairy production. On campus, he is an active member of the Delta Theta Sigma Fraternity where he has served as the secretary. In addition, Peterson has been honored to be named the 2003 National FFA Proficiency Award winner in Diversified Horticulture and the Minnesota FFA Proficiency Award winner in Nursery Operations. Peterson has an extensive amount of work experience both on and off campus. He has been employed at three dairy farms located near his hometown. These farms range in size and type of operation from a 60-head calf raising facility to a 130-cow farm. His responsibilities on these operations center on calf care, milking, feed rations, and crop management. Peterson has also worked at the University of Minnesota St. Paul Dairy Cattle Research and Teaching Facility for the past three years. His duties include milking, treating cows, feed rations, and calf care. As a Sales and Service Intern, Peterson will be responsible for conducting market surveys, providing sales and service support and assisting Divisional and District Sales Managers with routine duties throughout the summer.
