AUCK TO INTERN IN SALES AND SERVICE DIVISION
DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - June 14, 2006 - ABS has named Melissa Auck an Upper Midwest Sales and Service Intern for the 2006 summer. “Melissa’s tremendous experience and strong knowledge of the dairy industry will allow her to be very successful in this internship position,” stated Todd Kronberg, Upper Midwest Divisional Manager. Auck will graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in December 2006 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Agriculture Education and Animal Science with a dairy emphasis. On campus, she is involved in a variety of organizations and activities including Agriculture Mechanization Club, Simple Supper, and Academic Quadrathalon team. Auck has also been very active in the dairy industry through her work experiences at area farms. She has worked at both the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneer Farm and Majestic View Dairy LLC, a 1,800-head operation located in Lancaster, Wisc. At Platteville, Auck was responsible for milking 105 cows, monitoring herd health, feeding calves, TMR rations, and assisting with daily chores. As a Majestic View Dairy employee, her duties included milking 900 cows, feeding calves, and training new employees. As a Sales and Service Intern, Auck’s responsibilities will include providing sales and service support as well as doing market surveys in the Upper Midwest. In addition, Auck will be actively assisting the Divisional and District Sales Mangers in routine duties throughout the summer.
