MOELLER ANNOUNCED AS TECHNICAL SERVICE AND RMS® INTERN
DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - June 1, 2006 – Lydia Moeller has joined ABS as a Technical Service and Division 4 Sales and Support Intern for the 2006 summer. “Lydia’s extensive background in dairy and enthusiasm for the industry will allow her to be very successful in her internship position,” states Dr. Neil Michael, Director of Technical Services. Moeller will be a senior this fall at Iowa State University majoring in Dairy Science and Animal Science. She has been honored to make the Iowa State University and National Dean’s List several times. Moeller is very active in the Iowa State University Dairy Science Club, dairy judging, and dairy challenge team. In the Dairy Science Club, Moeller has served as the Historian, Vice President, and co-editor of the annual yearbook. In addition, last year Moeller was named Dairy Science Club Outstanding Sophomore. Moeller has experience on dairy operations both on and off campus. She was raised on her family’s dairy farm located in Strawberry Point, Iowa. Her responsibilities on the farm included milking cows, maintaining barn and heifer pens, and feeding calves and heifers. Moeller has also worked at the Iowa State University Rhodes Beef Research Farm and Iowa State University Animal Sciences Lab as a Research Assistant where she conducted behavioral studies, collected trial samples, and conducted chromium analysis. As a Technical Service Intern, Moeller will be involved in various field trials, writing Tech Service Newsletter articles, and product and service support projects. Her duties as a Division 4 Sales and Support Intern include conducting market surveys, providing sales and service support and assisting divisional and district sales managers.
