MAST NAMED WEST COAST PROGENY PROMOTIONS INTERN

DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - May 19, 2006 - ABS has named Stephan Mast the West Coast Progeny Promotions Intern for the summer 2006.

“Stephan’s extensive knowledge and experience in the dairy industry along with his enthusiasm will allow him to be very successful in this internship position,” stated David Dunlop, North American Progeny Promotions Manager.

Mast grew up on his family’s dairy farm, Dirk-C Holsteins, located in Denair, Calif. His responsibilities on the farm include assisting with the overall management of the operation. He has had great success at the state and national shows, including the 2005 California State Black and White Show where he claimed Grand Champion honors with his 3-Year-Old cow. This cow, Lylehaven Durham Marriet, was later named Reserve Junior All-American.

Mast is currently a junior at the California Polytechnic State University majoring in Dairy Science. He has already obtained an Associate Degree in Dairy Science from Modesto Junior College. Mast has been a member of both the Cal Poly and Modesto Junior College Dairy Judging teams. He has achieved many high honors as a member of both teams including being named the second high individual overall and in reasons at both the 2004 North American International Livestock Exposition and World Dairy Expo Junior College Judging Contest.

Mast has worked with ABS in the past helping prepare animals for photos in an independent contactor role. As the Progeny Promotions Intern, Mast will be responsible for tracking and preparing ABS Global progeny for picturing opportunities. He will also work with daughter tours.
