DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - February 16, 2006 - ABS Global added ten new sires to its active line-up with the release of the February 2006 sire summary data on Monday, February 13. These sires include eight exceptional Holsteins and two excellent Jerseys.

"This group of ABS new release sires brings dairy producers cutting edge genetics that will help improve their profitability," stated Scott Bentley, Global Dairy Product Manager. "Their pedigree strength and global appeal make them outstanding additions to the ABS active line-up."

29HO10814 Lutz-Brookview BACHELOR-ET*TV sires cows with excellent production and management traits provided by his sire stack of BRETT x DUSTER x Leadman. He has a high foot and leg composite siring daughters with a correct set to the rear legs and a deep heel. His high productive life, moderate size, and high foot and leg composite make BACHELOR daughters perfect for any operation.

29HO10799 Shadycrest-H MEGATON*cv brings an excellent combination of production and type to producers. Sired by Mara-Thon BW Marshall-ET, he averages nearly +1.75 on all composites and sires great uddered cows with exceptional feet and legs. With a low calving ease (7%) and ability to produce profitable daughters, MEGATON will be a bull to use in heifer pens.

A highlight of the ABS new graduates is 29HO10868 MR MOTEL-ET*TV. Fancy type, high production, and low calving ease can only begin to describe the “total package” you get with MR MOTEL. This BW Marshall high TPI bull graduated into the number 11 spot on the Holstein Association USA’s Top 100 TPI list. His daughters have upstanding frames and tremendous rear udders along with moderate udder depth and close teat placement. With a low 6% calving ease, this Rock Solid® (100 daughters in 60 herds) sire will be a great mating on any cow or heifer.

From the herd that produced 29HO10489 JINGLES*cv, comes the high component bull, 29HO10912 Morningview PERMISSION-ET*cv. He is the son of Morningview Rudy Pintail EX-90 who has a lifetime 4.8% fat and 3.5% protein, and that high fat percent transmitted to PERMISSION as he is +.11% for Fat. In addition to his great milk components, PERMISSION is also over two points for udders. His sire is 29HO8721 DEBUT, whose only sons will be available from ABS.

29HO10871 Far-O-La REGAN-ET*TV hales from the internationally renowned Dellia family. REGAN’s dam, Far-O-La Amel Ebbie-Jo Sam VG-88, is a maternal sister to ABS’s Durham standout, 29HO10889 DRAKE. He is ABS’s first Hershel son and will transmit outstanding feet and legs to his daughters.

29HO10793 Pride REFLECTOR-ET*TV is an outcross sire that can bring longevity into the herd through the high PL and the low calving ease of his sire 29H8614 MARATHON. This Rock Solid Wisconsin-bred bull has the management traits and production to make daughters ideal for any dairy environment.

29HO10867 GG SNAP SHOT-ET is bred for production. This BRETT x EX-93 Patron graduated to a Top five ABS milk bull. He will improve overall production through increased milk, fat, and protein yield. His sire, BRETT is recognized as one of the greatest production sires ever.

29HO10805 Looslea Brett VULCAN*TV is another high ranking bull sired by internationally renowned Ricecrest BRETT-ET. His Very Good Formation dam is from four generations of Excellent dams that are known as the Dellia Queens. Daughters of VULCAN will be tall, big framed cows that stand on a correct set of feet and legs and track straight ahead and have exceptional udders.

One of the two new Jersey sires at ABS is 29JE3277 Da-Vew NAPOLEON-P. This polled sire will produce daughters built for longevity through his high productive life and low SCS. NAPOLEON is a quality milk bull with a strong fat and protein component cow family with shallow udder depth.
