UTTER NAMED ABS GLOBAL DISTRICT SALES MANAGER
DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - December 16, 2005 - ABS Global is pleased to announce that Sandra Utter has been promoted to District Sales Manager. "Sandra's extensive knowledge of the livestock industry and previous experience with ABS Global, make her a great fit for this new position," said Dwight Williams, ABS Divisional Sales Manager. "Her knowledge and experience combined with her strong management skills make her an asset to the ABS Beef Enterprise Team." Utter is a Wyoming native who attended the University of Wyoming to obtain her Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science. She later earned her Masters Degree in Animal Science from Kansas State University. Utter has extensive experience in the beef industry, where her jobs have included many sales, management and research positions with various companies. She has also served as Executive Director of two organizations, namely, Precision Beef Alliance and Nebraska Corn-Fed Beef. Her previous position at ABS was, Beef Technical Specialist. She has been in this role since October of 2003. As a Beef Technical Specialist, Sandra has focused on Western Kansas, where she managed six Independent Sales Representatives. She worked with these Representatives to develop business plans, promotional activities, producer meetings, prospects and breeding projects. She also helped develop infrastructure to collect and manage calf listings for a branded beef company and currently is working on developing the ABS Process Verified Program (PVP), which has been submitted to USDA for approval. In addition, she led field training efforts on the PVP requirements with ABS Beef Supply Chain Consultants. As a District Sales Manager, Utter will oversee Western Kansas and additional Independent Sales Representatives from Southeastern Colorado and assist them in growing their business. Utter will also continue to be involved in the evolution of ABS's Supply Chain development.
