GLOBAL FAVORITE GORDON PASSES AWAY
DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - November 7, 2005 - ABS Global's outstanding Second Crop JUROR son 29HO9154 GORDON died last week at the age of nine. "Since his release in February of 2001, GORDON has been highly sought after by dairy producers in nearly every country in the world,” states Scott Bentley, ABS Global Dairy Product Manager. “This popularity garnered him Elite Diamond Sire Status with over 3,500 daughters in more than 1,300 herds." GORDON is one of four Second Crop JUROR sons in the ABS line-up. He along with his paternal brother, 29HO9023 ROY, have been long-time sales leaders for ABS around the world. In fact, GORDON was the highest ranking Second Crop JUROR son in Australia and the #1 sire in sales and customer satisfaction for ABS Australia. "GORDON has been one of our most successful Second Crop Sires ever in Australia," states Graeme Gillan, Manager of Dairy Sire Acquisition for ABS Australia. "His frames, udders, temperament, and longevity make him an appealing choice for the Australian market." Silky, black long-lasting cows with great udders and frames truly are GORDON’s stamp. At over 2 points on Udder Composite, his shallow, well-attached udders made him a great choice for any herd. Although, GORDON’s semen inventory is diminishing, he will live on at ABS as a sire of sons. Dairy producers looking to replace GORDON in their breeding program should consider 29HO10644 GARRISON, 29HO10641 BURT, 29HO9023 ROY, 29HO9674 DRAMATIC, 29HO10705 BANKER, and 29HO9155 PIPPEN.
