ABS HOLDS GLOBAL PROGENY TOURS
DEFOREST, WISCONSIN -October 28, 2005 - ABS-sired animals, ABS bull mothers and ABS Genetic Management System®(GMS®) and Reproductive Management System®(RMS®) herds highlighted two recent progeny tours. Tour attendees from around the world saw progeny of global leaders like 29HO9023 ROY and 29HO10644 GARRISON as well as different herd management styles. "At ABS, we strive to offer a variety of tours highlighting ABS-sired progeny, but also featuring herds that use ABS programs to further their business," said Marci Walker, Global Progeny Development Manager. "For this reason, our 2005 World Dairy Expo tours showed daughters of some of ABS’ best sires, ABS bull mothers and ABS GMS & RMS herds. This allows our tour attendees to see progeny and programs at their best, which assists in their marketing of ABS products and services." During the first tour, attendees traveled to Southwestern Wisconsin and Eastern Iowa to see progeny of proven sires Holstein sires, 29HO9674 DRAMATIC*TV, 29HO10483 BURT*TV, 29HO10605 CUMULUS*TV, 29HO10644 GARRISION*TV, 29HO9154 GORDON, 29HO10340 BRAD*TV, exciting new release sires, 29HO10792 JET STREAM*TV and 29HO10665 AGENT*TV and the industry’s hottest Durham son, 29HO10889 DRAKE*TV. Also included in this portion of tour were progeny of high type sires, 94HO10156 KITE*RC*TV, 94HO0848 DISTRIGENE-RED*TV, 94HO10276 DUNDEE*TV and 29HO9023 ROY. Herd stops on this tour included Brian & Julie Duffin, Brooklyn, Wisc., John Swenson, Barneveld, Wisc., Williams Bros., Barneveld, Wisc., Regancrest Holsteins, Waukon, Iowa, Paul Moger, Rollingstone, Minn., and Steve & Debbie Nuttleman, Bangor, Wisc. It also focused in on two ABS System herds, Ripp’s Dairy Valley, Dane, Wisc., who utilize GMS and RMS and are a Cornerstone™ herd and Deer-Brook Farms, Lewiston, Minn., a Cornerstone and a GMS herd. The second part of the ABS World Dairy Expo tours was sponsored in conjunction with St. Jacobs ABC, the long-time exclusive global marketing partner of ABS Global, Inc. The “Type Matters” Tour featured progeny of Judge’s Choice® sires as well as bull mothers of Judge’s Choice bulls. 94HO10156 KITE*RC*TV, 94HO0848 DISTRIGENE-RED*TV, 94HO10276 DUNDEE*TV, 94HO11033 PRO*TV, 94HO10809 SURFER*TV, 94HO11267 PERFORMANCE*TV and 29HO9023 ROY*TV progeny were the highlights of this tour. Sunny-Valley Holsteins, Belmont, Wisc., John Swenson, Barneveld, Wisc., Frozene Farms, Westfield, Wisc., So-Fine Bovines, Westfield, Wisc., Rosedale, Oxford, Wisc., Wilstar, Poy Sippi, Wisc., Budjon Farms, Lomira, Wisc., and Crescentmead, Ixonia, Wisc. were all stops on this tour, which showcased some of the 2005 World Dairy Expo Champions and high placing ABS-sired daughters. Tour attendees saw the dam of 94HO0680 RAMPAGE-Red, Lavendar Ruby Redrose-Red, the 2005 World Dairy Expo Supreme Champion, as well as the 2005 Reserve Supreme Champion, Budjon Redmarker Desire, a 94HO8410 RED MARKER*RC daughter and ABS bull mother.
