ABS PROGENY PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCES MEYER AS SUMMER INTERNDEFOREST, WISCONSIN -July 12, 2005 – ABS Global is pleased to announce that Jerome Meyer will be the Midwest Progeny Promotions Intern for the summer. “"Jerome has tremendous experience and a strong knowledge of the dairy industry that makes him a great asset to the Progeny Promotions team," states Marci Walker, ABS Global’s Global Progeny Development Manager. Meyer, a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is a Dairy Science major and a member of the collegiate Dairy Judging team. Last year, Meyer was the high individual and a member of the high team overall at the 2004 North American International Livestock Exposition Judging Contest. Furthermore, Meyer is an active member of the Badger Dairy Club and Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Meyer has also been active in the dairy industry through many different internships and job opportunities. Meyer held the position of the GMS Intern at ABS Global in 2004 where he processed herds, gave customer assistance and mated herds. Meyer has also been the Herd Assistant at Hagen Holsteins, Kylecrest Holsteins, Sugar Creek Dairy and Mey-Villa Holsteins. While working in these herds, Meyer has advised in genetic and reproductive decisions, maintained dairy records and prepared show cattle. As the Progeny Promotions intern, Meyer will be responsible for tracking and preparing ABS Global progeny for picturing opportunities. Meyer will also work with daughter tours. As the Communications intern, Yeiser will be responsible for copy writing, proofing and writing articles and press releases and contributing creative and innovative ideas to the development of promotional materials especially the 2006 Beef and Dairy Calendars.
