ABS ANNOUNCES DEFOREST HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

 

DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - May 27, 2005 – ABS Global would like to congratulate Lisa Stiemke and Nicole Neubauer for being selected as the 2005 ABS Global/DeForest High School scholarship winners

Lisa Stiemke, the daughter of Marvin and Karen Stiemke, is the recipient of the $400 ABS Global Agriculture Scholarship. While in high school, Lisa has been extremely active in many organizations and activities. She is currently the 2005 President of the DeForest High School FFA Chapter and a member of the National Honor Society. Lisa also participates in forensics, music and track. In the future, Stiemke plans to attend Madison Area Technical College and go on to work with large animals as a Veterinarian Technician.

The daughter of Mark and Debra Neubauer, Nicole Neubauer, has been awarded the $200 ABS Global Business Scholarship. Nicole is a member the French Club at DeForest High School and is a high honor roll student. Additionally, she works on the high school yearbook, volunteers in the community and is employed at DMB Community Bank. Nicole plans on attending the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and has been accepted into the Carlson School of Management where she will pursue a business degree.

Each of the ABS Global scholarship recipients were selected based on their future career goals. The Agriculture Scholarship awarded to Lisa Stiemke is presented to students pursuing majors related to agriculture. Nicole Neubauer’s Business Scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in a business-related field.
