LOPEZ ANNOUNCED AS TECH SERVICE CONSULTANT

 

DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - January 17, 2005 – ABS Global is pleased to announce Hernando Lopez PhD has joined the ABS Technical Service Team as a Technical Service Consultant.

Lopez has worked with the ABS team on numerous occasions as a consultant while completing his PHD in Reproductive Physiology at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. His areas of expertise include synchronization, female fertility, and influencers of estrus expression.

"Having prior experience with ABS and extensive research and practical on-farm capabilities makes Lopez a valuable asset to the Tech Service Team," said Dr. Neil Michael, Director of ABS Global Technical Services.

Lopez originates from Bogotá, Colombia and earned his D.V.M. from the Universidad Nacional De Colombia in 1997. He went on to obtain his Masters in Dairy Science with an emphasis on Reproductive Physiology from Utah State University in 2000.

Lopez has been invited to present at numerous meetings including ABS Global's "Focus on Fertility Seminar" in Querétaro, Mexico in November 2003. He is also extensively published with several journal articles, proceedings and abstracts. Producers may recognize him most recently from articles published in Hoard’s Dairyman regarding Heat Detection.

In addition to Technical Service key customer visits and training programs, Lopez will be working with multiple global projects. In his new role, Lopez will be traveling nearly two-thirds of his time and be based out of the ABS Global main office in DeForest WI.
