ABS RELEASES SEVEN NEW GRADUATES

DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - November 11, 2004 –ABS Global has released seven new dairy graduates.

"With these graduates, ABS strengthens its product offering to producers selecting for components, udders and even the polled gene," stated Scott Bentley, Dairy Product Manager. "Our goal is to provide dairy producers with high quality, reliable genetics and this is exemplified by these outstanding new releases."

29HO10399 ZIPER is a Rock Solid™ Mtoto x VG Celsius with over 100 daughters in his type proof. As with most Mtoto sons he will produce modest dairy form in his daughters with lower somatic cell counts, and improved longevity. ZIPER improves milk yield by nearly +2000 pounds while siring shallow udders and close front teats.

With an ultra modern sire stack of Aaron x Patron, 29HO10442 LINDLEY, transmits a reliable low 7% Calving Ease. He sires moderate size with excellent udders. LINDLEY also passes on quality feet and legs like his sire and really improves rear legs rear view and Feet & Legs Composite. He adds significant rump slope and will be very easy to use across most of the popular ABS sires of yesterday and today.

A Polled BOSCO son 29HO10446 OSWALD-P is destined for the big-time! OSWALD-P will boost frames and feet and legs significantly while adding pedigree variation to the ABS customer base. He is an ABS Top Ten sire for milk yield and sires tremendous fore and rear udders.

29HO10586 FRANKLIN*cv, is a CONVINCER x Bellwood from Sandy-Valley. FRANKLIN’s elite TPI is a combination of outstanding yield and good type. He is +.03%F and +87 pounds of Fat; typical of a family that consistently transmits high fat percentage and low calving ease. FRANKLIN has ideal teat placement and udder cleft scores while being an elite improver of milk yield.

From the ABS UK Progeny Test Program comes 29HO12103 MELODY, a MATTIE x Slocum son. This Rock Solid bull has been used in Europe and Grassland markets since 2003. MELODY is a low 6% Calving Ease bull with a pedigree that allows him to be used on nearly every heifer in the pens today.

ABS’ new Jersey graduate, 29JE3274 GUNNER, is a Lemving son from an Excellent Barber daughter. He joins 29JE3241 LELANDin providing Jersey producers a wider selection of bulls to improve both fat and protein content of their milk while siring shallow udders.

Another exciting protein breed addition is Brown Swiss 29BS3769 ZEUS. He is a Prelude x E92 Patrick x 2E Jade. He has a 2X All-American dam with high records and components. According to reports from across the U.S., he sires well balanced medium framed cows that are milking really well from great udders. Early PTAT is +1.3 (tied for 3rd in breed).
