ABS Offers Customers MULTIMIN®

DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - October 15, 2004 - In an effort to continually find ways to help beef and dairy producers improve their animal production and health ABS Global has developed a marketing alliance with Multimin USA, Inc.

MULTIMIN® is a patented injectable micro-mineral shown to further optimize micro-mineral status which can dramatically enhance the reproductive health of both beef and dairy animals. A recent farm field trail conducted by ABS Global, in a well managed Wisconsin dairy herd evaluated the effects of two micro-mineral injections, one four weeks before calving and one four weeks before breeding , supplying 200mg zinc, 75mg copper, 50mg manganese, and 25mg selenium per injection on micro-mineral functions compared to existing micro-mineral supplementation programs which included MU-SE®

The results from this study indicated positive improvement in conception, median days open and other health related issues like lameness and retained placentas. This can lead to improved profitability for the producer.

Additional research results from Oklahoma State University showed improved growth rates and reduced treatments in stocker/feedlot cattle receiving MULTIMIN®. The trend continues to supports injectable micro-mineral supplementation as a means to assist in optimizing micro-mineral status to maximize growth rate and health status.

Dr. Neil Michael, Director of ABS Technical Services said, "We are looking forward to offering yet another tool to enhance producer's profitability through improved health and performance."
