WEIER BECOMES AN AREA SALES
MANAGER FOR ABS
DEFOREST,
WISCONSIN - July 22, 2004 – ABS Global has named Jennifer Weier
an Area Sales Manager for Central Wisconsin.
“Weier
joins ABS with a great deal of experience in sales and marketing,”
stated Todd Kronberg, Midwest Division Sales Manager. “She also has
a strong passion for the dairy industry, which makes her an asset
to ABS.”
Prior to
ABS Global, Weier has held several internship positions. She has been
a Marketing Assistant for the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin,
a Communications Intern with the Wisconsin Holstein Association, and
a University Relations intern with the College of Agricultural and
Life Sciences Hometown News in Madison, Wisconsin. She also has been
employed as a Sales Associate at Ayers Furniture in Ridgeway, Wisconsin,
as well as being an intern with another A.I. organization.
A May 2004
graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Weier has a Bachelor
of Science degree in Agricultural Journalism. While attending college,
she was involved in many campus activities. College highlights of
Weier include serving on the Executive Committee of the Association
of Women in Agriculture in 2001, being named the Outstanding Badger
Dairy Club Junior in 2003, and acting as a College of Agricultural
and Life Sciences Student Ambassador. Weier also was the 2000 Wisconsin
Holstein Princess and was a member of the Wisconsin Holstein Association
Junior Activities Committee from 2001-2003.
As Area
Sales Manager, Weier will be responsible for the direct sales of semen
and A.I. services to producers in Central Wisconsin. She will also
help producers make genetic decisions and assist with the timed breeding
programs in their herds. In addition, Weier will help dairy producers
improve their milk quality through the use of ABS’ udder care products.
