GMS® CONFERENCE FOCUSES ON PROFITABLE PRODUCER SOLUTIONS

 

DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - October 10, 2003 – Fifty ABS Global, Inc. Consultants from six countries attended the first Genetic Management Systems® (GMS) Conference on September 24-27, 2003 in California.

"GMS plays a powerful role in a producer’s genetic program by managing inbreeding, recessives, semen inventory and technician insemination compliance in dairy operations," stated Amy Knuth, GMS Manager. "The GMS conference was an opportunity to improve GMS Consultants professional skills that are needed to service today's dairy producers'."

The four day event featured sessions on GMS features and benefits, understanding genetic indices, the importance of reliability, daughter tours, and cow coding exercises. These sessions updated the attendees on changes in the dairy industry along with the changes in the GMS program, resulting in more professional and proficient Consultants for ABS customers.
