SANDBULTE NAMED DISTRICT SALES MANAGER OF THE YEAR

DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - September 15, 2003 . - ABS District Sales Manager Merlyn Sandbulte of Rock Valley, Iowa received the District Sales Manager of the Year Award at the 2003 Beef Division Round Table Banquet.

"Merlyn assumed greater geographic responsibilities in 2002 and responded to the challenge by earning the District Sales Manager of the Year award for ABS’ last fiscal year," states Heartland Division Manager, Dwight Williams. "This is indeed a high honor to achieve when one considers the quality of the rest of the ABS District Sales Manager team in the U.S."

Sandbulte has been with ABS as a District Sales Manager for 10 years and as an Independent Sales Representative for eight years. As a District Sales Manager, Sandbulte is responsible for working with Independent Representatives in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and parts of Iowa and Minnesota. At the banquet Sandbulte received his award, which was based on a combination of sales units, sales revenue and percent increase in sales.

Williams continued, "Merlyn is an innovative manager that is constantly looking for new opportunities to serve both the beef and dairy producer base. In doing so he works closely with his Representative Team and challenges each of them to stay focused on improving their product and industry knowledge to be of greatest benefit to the customer."
