SIX BULLS IMPROVED EXCELLENT SCORES AT ABS

DEFOREST, WISCONSIN - August 28, 2003 - On Tuesday, August 26, 2003, thirty-five bulls were classified with an average final score of 87 points. Four ABS bulls were classified as Excellent (91) and two as Excellent (92). .

"One emphasis in sire selection is strong cow families that transmit type," states Wayne DeBuhr, Dairy Product Specialist. "Because of this focus, the successful day of classification was of no surprise. Much credit should go to the ABS Production Team for the outstanding job they do with the bulls."

The two ABS superstars scoring EX-92 this classification were components king, 29HO9155 PIPPEN*cv and udder improver, 29HO9899 TOUCHDOWN*TV. The bull gaining the greatest number of points was 29HO10276 DUNDEE*TV, who gained four points for a final score of EX-91. Moving up three points to EX-91 was type and udder improver 29HO9910 MODESTO*TV. Rounding out the class of Excellent 91 bulls were production specialist 29HO9685 OZZIE*cv and the highly reliable fertility sire 29 H8697 S-MAN.

Exciting first time classifications for Judge’s Choice bull 29HO10205 EXPO, and international sensation 29HO10187 FINLEY, both scored VG-88. Gaining two points, to a score of VG-88 was health and components specialist 29HO9320 GIBSON. 29HO9138 TABOO continues to impress with his outcross genetics and VG-87 classification.
