ABS PROTEIN GRADUATES SCORE HIGH

DEFOREST, WISCONSIN -May 30,2003 - On Monday, May 12, 2003 ABS Global graduated six Brown Swiss and Jersey bulls, all of which graduated near the top of their breed.

“Our Jersey and Brown Swiss sire line-ups dominate their respective breed association sire lists,” states Dairy Product Manager, Scott Bentley. “Our protein breed genetics offer tremendous marketing opportunities to producers in addition to maximizing milk tank profits.”

Brown Swiss sire 29BS3761 Blessing Emerald ABSOLUTE is the top graduating protein sire at ABS. With a ranking of #2 Net Merit (+594) and #2 PTI (+361) among NAAB Active A.I. sires, ABSOLUTE maximizes producer profitability. He is an ABS sire of sons and hails from an exciting new cow family.

Debuting at #6 PTI (+333) and #4 Net Merit (+540) 29BS3758 Top Acres BRINKS-ET is a must for producers wanting to increase their components and total profits. His maternal sister is Pre Bouquet, E93 and the unanimous All-American 4-Year-Old in 2002.

Rounding out ABS’ Brown Swiss graduates and providing producers with EVEN BETTER Protein (+52) levels in their herd, 29BS3759 Top Acres EVEN BETTER-ET also sires long lasting cows with a +2.5 PL. A Net Merit rating of +440 placed EVEN BETTER in the top 25.

As the highest new bull for JPI at +276, 29JE3232 Priceland Bold Daniel TORY is bred to sire long lasting and profitable cows. TORY ranks number one in the breed for Fat yield at +81F and in the top five for Milk (+2196), Protein (+60) and Net Merit (+520).

Arriving into the ABS line-up from Australia, 29JE3359 Claydon Park FLOWERPOWER is a Rock SolidÔ sire with 177 daughters in 69 herds, and the number one bull on the Australian Profit Ranking. FLOWERPOWER is an udder improver who specializes in siring strong, dairy cows with exceptional high and wide rear udders.

29JE3231 Ferreira View CHET-ET is the third ABS Jersey graduate. CHET not only sires cows that will last (+1.9PL) but also improves udders. His impressive +2.4RUH and +1.8RUW are well complimented by a +1.9UC.
