ABS GRADUATES FIVE ROCK SOLID HOLSTEIN BULLS

DEFOREST, WISCONSIN -May 15,2003 - Five Rock Solidä Holstein bulls graduated into the ABS Global active line-up Monday, May 12, 2003.

“Bulls at ABS are granted Rock Solid status when their production proof is based upon at least 100 daughters in 60 herds,” states Dairy Product Manager, Scott Bentley. “With these bulls, producers can feel confident that the genetics they purchase are yielding the expected results in the herd and that matings are more accurate and therefore more profitable. Two-thirds of the ABS Holstein sire line-up is Rock Solid.”

Debuting at number thirteen on the Holstein Association USA Top 100 TPI List, 29 HO9958 Ricecrest SHAMROCK-ET is a MATTIE son and a production and components specialist at +2645 Milk, +87 Fat and +82 Protein. In addition SHAMROCK sires strength and body capacity on daughters that have close front teats (+2.12) and deep udder clefts (+.90).

29HO10009 Sandy-Valley DALZIEL-ET is a Top 100 TPI DUSTER son from the cow family that produced 29HO9328 LOCKET. DALZIEL daughters showcase his ability to consistently produce an excellent balance of type and production while improving all health traits (+2.0 PL and 2.98 SCS).

Dairy producers will want to be on the LOOKOUT for 29HO12044 Moet LOOKOUT-ET*cv, a Genus proven sire with an outstanding TPI of +1781. A Lord Lily x Slocum son, LOOKOUT produces long lasting (+2.1 PL) daughters with tremendous rear udders (+2.18 RUH and +2.13 RUW). LOOKOUT sons will be appearing at ABS in the years to come.

29HO9786 Lynncrest Corky HAYES-ET, a Corky son out of Converse Happy, is a high reliability component improver at +.10% Fat and +.08% Protein with 224 daughters in 114 herds. HAYES will add value to producers by maximizing cheese yield efficiency and appeals to all markets.
