ABS GLOBAL RECEIVES GOVERNOR’S EXPORT ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

 

DEFOREST, WISCONSIN -May 13,2003 - ABS Global, Inc. received the 2003 Governor’s Export Achievement Award from Governor Jim Doyle at the Wisconsin International Trade Conference.

 

Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle and State Secretary of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, Rod Nilsestuen presented ABS Global one of the six 2003 Governor’s Export Achievement Awards at the 39th Annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference in Milwaukee, Wis. Each year the Governor recognizes firms and organizations that have achieved extraordinary results in international sales or have contributed to Wisconsin’s increased ability to compete in a global market.


“My Grow Wisconsin initiative calls for investing in expanding international markets to create important growth opportunities for Wisconsin firms,” Gov. Doyle said.

The Governor’s Export Achievement Awards are presented to companies and institutions that have responded to the market challenges on both domestic and global levels by using innovation and leadership skills. They serve as an example to all other firms around the state of what can be achieved when you set your sites on worldwide opportunities.

“ABS Global provides the finest genetics available to dairy and beef producers around the world. Its work increases the ability of farmers around the world to provide protein and energy to more of the world’s people,” stated Gov. Doyle.

“The five other companies receiving the 2003 Governor’s Export Achievement Award are Links Snacks Incorporated of Minong, Oshkosh Truck Corporation of Oshkosh, Promega Corporation of Madison, International Banking Centre at Johnson Bank of Madison, and Harley Davidson Motor Company, Inc. of Milwaukee.
