JUSTY SCORES MAJOR 2ND
CROP SUCCESS
DEFOREST,
WISCONSIN -April 14, 2003 - Producer confidence in ABS Reliability is justified when you look at the second crop success of JUSTY. 29 H7732 Ridge-Star JUSTY-ET is being featured in an upcoming article in Holstein International.
“JUSTY is a highly reliable second crop bull who continues to improve,” states Scott Bentley, Dairy Product Manager. “He is in greater demand today than ever before and remains a global customer favorite who is talked about by many in the industry.”
A son of highly regarded brood cow Ridge-Star Leadman Julie, JUSTY’s cow family is known for transmitting superb udders, feet and legs, low Somatic Cell Scores, long Productive Life and favorable Calving Ease. Over the past year, more than 2500 new daughters have been added to JUSTY’s genetic evaluations, and his TPI rating has increased with each sire summary.
As an all-around udder improver, JUSTY has an udder composite of +2.13 with emphasis in udder improvement in Fore Udder Attachment (+2.83), Rear Udder Height (+2.77), and Rear Udder Width (+2.61). He is widely used for his tremendous ability to improve Fat and Protein percentage.
“Based on his current TPI and Reliability for production and type of 99% and 96% respectively, we can predict with considerable confidence that at the time of the May Sire Summary that JUSTY will be among the top 10 bulls on the prestigious list of Top 100 Bulls with 97% U.S. Reliabilities for Milk and Type,” states Dick Smith, ABS Manager of Dairy Sire Selection.
