FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ABS 2003 BEEF SIRE DIRECTORY AVAILABLE
DEFOREST,
WISCONSIN -November 18, 2002 - ABS Global is pleased to announce the availability of its 2003 Beef Sire Directory.
"This directory has an exciting new look starting out as soon as you open the cover," states Beef Product Manager, Doug Frank. "The information within the directory will continue to help producers make profitable decisions that will have a long term impact on their herd and the beef industry."
The 80-page directory contains information on over 180 bulls in 16 breeds. Not only does the directory contain pedigree and performance information from the respective breed associations, it also contains ABS's exclusive Genetic Trait Summary (GTS) data. This data allows producers to include objective measures of physical trait differences in their selection along with performance and carcass traits. The GTS data, along with information from the breed associations, gives producers the most complete and objective decision-making tools available in the industry.
"ABS continues to focus on its Pasture to Plate Genetics," states Frank. "The bulls ABS offers add value to everyone involved in beef production, they are the kind that will work for all segments of the industry. As the industry evolves we see ABS providing the needed genetics and services to help our customers be increasingly profitable."
Copies of the 2003 ABS Beef Sire Directory can be obtained by contacting your local ABS Representative or calling 1-800-ABS-STUD.
